Scope and Contents

This artificial collection of Eastern related audio materials was acquired from various sources and has been described together based on format. The content includes recordings of various campus meetings, campus events, and speakers on campus, as well as music recordings on vinyl albums that were created in the 1960s and 70s.

This collection includes film and video resources from various events on campus and interviews and documentaries that EKU individuals participated in. Athletics films have been inventoried with the Athletic Director's Office Records. The inventory here is not complete. Scope and Contents

This collection of scrapbooks documents the career of Emma Case, longtime Dean of Women at Eastern. As Dean of Women Mrs. Case instituted several initiatives to recognize the achievements of female students such as the Women's Honor Program and the Senior Women's Dinner and these events are documented, as well. She was very active in the cultural activities of the college and the invitations, programs and other ephemera she collected document student life on Eastern's campus.

Scope and Contents The College of Arts and Sciences records reflect the entire period (1965 to 1979) in which the college operated as a distinct entity at Eastern Kentucky University. Eastern, like many other state colleges that had recently attained university status in the 1960s, experienced significant growth in the physical plant, along with academic programs in the tumultuous period of the 1960s.
