Scope and Contents

This collection consists mostly of press releases and news clippings relating to athletics at Eastern Kentucky University. It should be used in conjunction with the Athletic Director's Office Records and fills in gaps in that collection. There are also correspondence, statistics, brochures, schedules and publications that further document activities of the office.

Abstract

The Richards/McKinney Family Papers contains correspondence, photographs, genaology, legan and financial documents, and documents related to EKU. The collection follows Mary Frances McKinney Richards (1900-1987) and Rollin Rhoten Richards aka "Dick" (1898 - 1997).  Both Mary Frances and Dick were faculty at Eastern for the length of their careers, and remained involved in Alumni affairs until their deaths. Many items in the collection relate to Mary Frances.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains Greg Stotelmyer's radio play by play for the Eastern Kentucky University football and basketball games from 1979 to 2010. There are a limited number of baseball games included also. This is not a complete record for the earliest years, as there are games missing. Some games were not dated and dates will need to be determined. Even though there was already an item level inventory for the early games, he most recent ones are described only at the box level.
