Dean writes about his continued work with Case, his attempts to continue publishing with Berea Citizen from South Dakota, and his studies. May writes to him regarding what she perceives as drama at Berea College. Finally, Dean writes in March about standing outside Blair House in Washington DC and seeing Winston Churchill emerge from his car and meet with Truman.
