Scope and Contents
This folder contains mostly correspondence from James Tipton to his parents while interned at a POW camp in Germany. Also included are postcards from various points during Tipton's deployment, letters from the U.S. government informing Tipton's parents of his status of capture, an award notification for James, a letter from his chaplain conveying condolences after his capture, a war bond souvenir ticket featuring an aerial gunner, a Waco almanac, and a doily.
