Huntington National Bank v. Huntington Distillery
Scope and Contents
Contents include district and circuit court booklets that pertain to a legal dispute that arose after Mr. Russel's death. Apparently, Minerva Phelps Russel was challenged before the court by Z.T. Vinson, on behalf of the Huntington National Bank; Mr. Russel was at one time the bank's President. The dispute surrounds the "Brandy Paper" and the supposed break down in banking procedures that would have discharged the Huntington Distillery's outstanding debt with the Huntington National Bank, a debt that severely hindered the bank's operations.
