Scope and Contents
The majority of these letters are written from Biloxi, Mississippi, where Joe had a refrigerator company. Of particular note is a May 5, 1918 letter in which Joe mentions the rumored engagement of Emma Watts to Tony Burnam. Also, August 12, 1928 letter written by Sadie announces that Joe was in an accident having to do with ammonia and is likely blind.
