Scope and Contents
Most of the letters express condolences for family deaths. Other letters include a prescription from The White Sulfur Springs Medical Department and a 1919 letter from McCord that thanks Mary for referring him to the Knight family. McCord mentions that R.E.L. Knight, Sr. is being mentioned for governor of Texas. Also included is a lively letter from James "Jim" Parkes in which he discusses political tension in Madison County, Kentucky and Mary's dislike of Texas. There is also a letter from Mary's father which talks about life in Kingston, Kentucky and his health.
