Scope and Contents

The letters include personal glimpses into their lives while he was in Texas. Includes a number of letters from Cincinnati where Emma is having extensive dental work done. In other letters Emma talks about trips, shopping and activities while she is traveling. One letter documents an early visit to Vassar and states that she will be accepted in three years after she is 18. Later correspondence details Emma's trip to Europe with her mother in 1911.
