The Association Series consists of seventy-three boxes of materials (boxes 1 1973) relating to various professional associations, councils and organizations in which Eastern held institutional membership during Dr. Martin's tenure. Most important among the groups represented is the Council on Public Higher Education, the governing board of Kentucky's state universities, and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, of which Martin served as president from 1971 to 1972. Also included are Self Studies prepared for the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools in 1965 and 1974 and the 1974 Self Study Report to the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. All of the material is arranged alphabetically by topic and then chronologically within each folder.
