Scope and Contents

Correspondence between Vockery and James T. Carrier, Tony L. Morris. Also contains a copy of a document entitled "Did Carrier Mills, Illinois, have its beginning in Garrard County, Kentucky?" by James Taskel Carrier. This document includes a copied photo of William Housely Carrier (detailed as the namesake of Carrier Mills) and a photo of his house, as well as a copied photo of James H. Carrier and Ida M. Cornwell. Also contains a deed of conveyance dated 19 March 1840, and a lengthy description of genealogy beginning with W. John Carrier in 1699, various family group files, a summons from the Sheriff of Garrard County served on several members of the Carrier family on 16 February 1836, a copy of the birth certificate of James Charles Carrier b. 1891.
