Mathematics Manuscript Texts

 Collection
Identifier: 0010-037

Scope and Contents

This is an artificial collection created from various manuscript mathematics books found in the book collection and the Dorris Museum collection. Each of the books focus on a specific type of math, such as basic arithmetic, financial calculations and geometry for land surveying. Some of these volumes seem to have been used by teachers, but others may have been created by students. In addition to the books in this collection, other similar texts can be found in the Crook Family Papers and in the R.A. Edwards Papers.
