There is a letter from his Mother-in-law, L.H. Bohannon, asking about family health and discussing her own situation. Also contains interesting letters from M.B. Contains correspondence of personal interest. These letters are largely from nephews and cousins of SIMM-I. They discuss subjects from health to the provision of goods to those in need. Of note are letters from his nephew, F. Major, requesting information about land owned by SIMM-I. As well his son J.B. Major writes to SIMM-I discussing concerns over his Captain's disappearance in 1832. (24 documents)

The earlier letters are prior to their marriage and signed with her maiden name, Bohannon. These are personal correspondence from 1820 until 1844 with several undated letters. Within them are matters of her family's opinion of SIMM-I and health is discussed as well. An ongoing concern for the safety and health of one another when they are apart displays their affection. An ongoing discussion of Anderson Taylor's debt to Patrick occurs when SIMM-I is asked to validate information and investigate claims.
