This volume includes numerous letters to John Wilson Townsend and Mary Floyd from the authors represented. There are also photographs, news clippings, published and manuscript poetry, and pamphlets which contain biographical information about the authors and promote books. There are also photographs of a number of the women covered in this volume and a piece of sheet music, "Kentucky: State Song" written and composed by a Kentucky woman and spproved as the state song in 1926.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: This collection of scrapbooks appears to have been created by Mary Floyd, dean of the Crabbe Library. There are a number of letters addressed to John Wilson Townsend and to Mary Floyd. It isn't clear if the Townsend letters came from the Townsend Papers or another source. The Kentucky Pictures scrapbook was created by Floyd's American History students in 1926.
