Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Records
This collection records the business of the African American Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at Kirksville and documents the church services, membership and leadership. The records include a copy of the first minute book; however, the church retained ownership of that volume at the time of the donation.

This collection merges two small collections of materials relating to the Mount Zion Church in Madison County, Kentucky. It contains several short histories of the church, a photocopy of a membership book and a ledger as well as church bulletins and programs and news clippings.

Rose C. Muhlenberg Recipe Book
This manuscript cookbook dating from the 1840s is full of recipes. The recipes include entrees, soups, puddings, cakes and more as well as recipes for preserving food, health remedies and cleaning solutions. Many of the recipes reflect the dishes of various nationalities and some are attributed to individuals or to cooks at businesses such as the Royal Hotel in Derby, England and the Cambria Steamer. There are also several remedies for hair loss.
