Martin is popularly known as former President of Eastern Kentucky University, but also served as an educator, Superintendent of Education, and a Senator. This collection contains correspondence, legislative papers, photographs, scrapbooks, campaign materials, publications, and materials documenting his success throughout his career.
Lillard Rodgers Collection
Lillard Rodgers was an Eastern alum receiving his bachelor's degree in 1947 and a master's in 1962. He went on to be a teacher in the Casey County, Kentucky school system. This collection consists mostly of news clippings of Edwin Finch's "Kentuckiana All Over" column that was published by the Courier-Journal in the 1940s and 1950s, including 13 scrapbooks and a folder of loose clippings. In addition there are other mid twentieth century tourism publications and educational materials.
