Correspondence from friends serving in the Army and Army Air Corps during WWII along with propaganda leaflets and a silk flag. Also included are Christmas cards from friends, most notably from author, A. L. Crabb and family. There is also some official EKU Library correspondence regarding the John Wilson Townsend Collection and other items that were added to the library collections over the years.

Scope and Contents The Willard Rouse Jillson Papers feature only a few of his more than 300 publications. They include local histories, bibliographies, geological treatises on Kentucky locations and volumes on Kentucky books. Included in each is the handwritten or typed draft and a proof from the publisher with changes noted throughout. One volume is a typescript of a deposition he gave regarding a mudslide on Highway 23. Scope and Contents The John Wilson Townsend Papers consist of letters received by Townsend which reflect literary, business, and personal concerns. The bulk of the materials consist of letters received by Townsend, as well as photographs, book reviews, manuscripts and various other items about Kentucky literary figures.
