Green Clay Papers
The strength of the Green Clay collection is the photographs, which were mostly taken in the first three decades of the twentieth century. Although there are some portraits, there are also many photos of Madison county, including historic sites, river scenes, historic homes and even a moonshine still. The collection also includes some of his published historical articles and other Madison County publications.
Johnson Family Postcards
This is a small collection of postcards written to various members of the Johnson family with images from Richmond, Lexington and Winchester, Kentucky. All the cards have short notes on them that mention jobs, dances, stripping tobacco and catching rides home.

Madison County School Photos
This collection consists of scans of school photographs taken in the 1920s. Most of the images include the Madison County School Superintendent, B.F. Edwards. All dated photographs were taken in the fall of 1922, so it is likely that most of the images are the same year. The photographs were scanned and originals were returned to the Edwards family.

Charles R. Smith Collection
This collection consists of scans from a selection of photographs, postcards and ephemera from Charles R. Smith. Most are from Madison County, Kentucky and include images of people and places. Of note are the photos of many of the Elks Club exalted rulers between the years 1902 and 1996. Most of the pamphlets and programs are related to local churches such as First Baptist and First Christian. All materials were digitized and returned to Mr. Smith.
