Scope and Contents

Lists, letters, and records kept by SIMM-I and SIMM-II of a political nature. There are lists of Governors, Secretaries of State, Attorney Generals, Clerks of the Senate, Speakers of the House of Representatives, Treasurers, Auditors, Lieutenant Governors and Speakers of the Senate, and Clerks of the House of Representatives of Kentucky as recorded by SIMM-II. Letters sent to SIMM-II seeking appointments and support. There is a pamphlet listing the members of the Standing Committees of the House for the 1885-1886 session. Records for Committee meetings written by SIMM-II. Documents concerning his involvement in the Democratic Party and his official appointment as Surveyor.
