Scope and Contents

This collection was created to provide access to the family record pages from various single Bibles in the collection. Access is also provided to content that has been made available from patrons in a digital only format. When noted Special Collections does not own a copy of the paper record, only a scan of the pages.

Scope and Contents The William H. Miller collection is made up of genealogy-based material. It contains Miller's manuscript of his book History and Genealogies of the Families of Miller, Woods, Harris, Wallace, Maupin, Oldham, Kavanaugh, and Brown Families, as well as the unpublished manuscript for a second book. The manuscript includes family lineage for families all over Madison County, but also expands to include family migration between Virginia and Kentucky and westward....

Scope and Contents This collection consists of genealogical research notes and documents compiled by Anna Turley Noland. The families she personally researched are Noland, Turley, Black, McWilliams, Gass, Boggs and other affiliated families. In addition Mrs. Noland conducted research for other individuals and some of this correspondence is also included. Scope and Contents The majority of this collection features the genealogical records of the Rice family and other collateral family lines including the Turner and Kennedy families. This collection also contains publications, information, and applications from the Daughters of the American Revolution. Abstract

The Richards/McKinney Family Papers contains correspondence, photographs, genaology, legan and financial documents, and documents related to EKU. The collection follows Mary Frances McKinney Richards (1900-1987) and Rollin Rhoten Richards aka "Dick" (1898 - 1997).  Both Mary Frances and Dick were faculty at Eastern for the length of their careers, and remained involved in Alumni affairs until their deaths. Many items in the collection relate to Mary Frances.

Scope and Contents

This is a collection of photocopied materials primarily about the Price family of Jessamine County, KY. The records seem to document the ancestry of Virginia Price Simpson in her effort to join the Daughters of the American Revolution and focus primarily on her direct ancestor, William Price. The news clippings show her interest in Jessamine County history and cover many topics. Interspersed with the news clippings are several programs from early schools in the county.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of the genealogy research files compiled by Bill and Kathy Vockery over decades of conducting family research for people around the country. They conducted research in Madison and Garrard Counties, Kentucky. The content of the files includes original correspondence between the Vockerys and researchers and copies of documents that prove various family connections.
